The 5th Annual 50’s & 60’s Day will be held on July 30, 2005 at the Guardian Hose Company Carnival Grounds. All kids games, adult games and entertainment is free. Thanks to many local citizens, area businesses, and the Town of Thurmont for sponsoring this annual event.

Schedule of events: 12:00 p.m. Car Show Starts 12:00 p.m. Guardian Hose Company Food Stands Open 2:00 p.m. Kids Games Begin 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Live Entertainment
The Guardian Hose Company will be Selling Food and Refreshments: Sandwiches, Hot Dogs, French Fries and Sodas
Entertainment: DJ Music, Elower Dance Studio, Praise Band ( Local Church Group), Big Cam and the Lifters
Fun Contests: Watermelon Seed Spitting, Hola Hooping, Pie Eating
The Pie Eating contest is a hit with young and old.
Car Show: Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles Entry is free, goodie bags for the first 100 entries, dash plaques, trophies. (Car show setup starts at 10:00 a.m. , judging will be at 2:00 with trophies awarded at 4:00 p.m.

Pick up how many ducks?
Kids Games: Golf, Turtle Races, Fishing Pond, Pick Up Ducks, Bowling (All kids games and the prizes for each game are free.)
Entertainment: DJ Music, Elower Dance Studio, Praise Band ( Local Church Group), Big Cam and the Lifters
A crowd gathers to watch the Elower Studio Dancers and to enjoy an evening of music by Big Cam and the Lifters.
Door Prizes and Raffles:
Throughout the day the 50’s & 60’s Day organizers will be selling 50-50 tickets and chances for door prizes. The money raised through these raffles is used to help pay the costs associated with the event. You must be present to win any of the door prizes or raffle drawings. In the event of bad weather the prize winners will be drawn as soon as a decision to close the event has been made.

Last years car show entries ran from mild all the way to this wild ride! This year we are planning a kiddie car show featuring pedal cars. There will be trophies for different classes of the pedal cars, goodie bags and dash plaques for each entry Be sure to check here for details coming soon.
