During the week of Sept. 14th Thurmont was host to three visitors from Cobh (pronounced “Cove”) Ireland. Mayor Danny Crowley, Michael McCormick and Michael Martin toured Thurmont and the surrounding area accompanied by members of the Fitzgerald family. This visit is one of the first steps toward Cobh and Thurmont becoming “Sister Cities”
