The Thurmont Police Department is looking for dedicated and ambitious men and women who are interested in a career in Law Enforcement.
Recruit Starting Salary $35,713
Certified Officer Starting Salary – Based upon experience
Opening Date: July 1, 2009
Closing Date: August 1, 2009
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED,
United States Citizenship,
Must reach 21 years of age by completion of police academy,
Possess a valid driver’s license,
Possess the physical ability to pass a physical agility test,
Able to successfully complete a written examination, oral interview, medical examination, drug screening, psychological screening, polygraph examination, and a comprehensive background investigation,
Ability to meet all required standards set forth by the Maryland Police and Corrections Training Commission (MPCTC).
Certified officers must meet the Maryland Police and Corrections Training Commission Standards.
