Created by an ordinance adopted by the Thurmont Board of Commissioners, the Thurmont Planning and Zoning Commission has all the power, functions and duties provided for in Article 66B of the Annotated Code of Maryland, as it may be amended from time to time.

 This is the letter to property owners outlining the Comprehensive Rezoning process and giving information on how to apply, the fees involved and a timeline.

This is the application you must submit in order to have your request considered during the rezoning process.

The Thurmont Master Plan Update
The Thurmont Master Plan is in the process of being updated.  The draft version of the Thurmont Plan is almost ready for review and a schedule of open hoses
 and public hearings will be posted both here and on the cable channel 99.

The  Frederick County Thurmont Regional Plan are in the process of being updated.  An updated version of the Thurmont Region Plan has been released in it’s draft form.
