Commissioner Hooper is a member of the Maryland Municipal League (MML) Hall of Fame. Commissioner Hooper has served as liaison to various Boards and Commissions within Town Government, most notably the Special Events Committee who have hosted the very successful Halloween in the Park program for many years.
In 2022, Commissioner Hooper serves as the Mayor Pro-Tem, and is the liaison to the Thurmont Addiction Commission, the Special Activities Commission, and the Thurmont Skatepark Committee.
