Please see the regulations below regarding Backyard Chickens in town. A license must be applied for first through our Code Enforcement Officer at the Thurmont Police Station (application listed below). You must also apply for a Zoning Certificate for the coop at the Town Office after applying for the license.
** Please Note : A maximum of six (6) chickens shall be permitted on a single lot; roosters are prohibited.
